The goal of the study trip is to establish a dialogue between U.S. and Swiss decision makers and opinion leaders, to advance the Swiss-American network and to showcase Switzerland’s excellence in the field of clean energy.

10 participants from all over the United States including renewable energy and energy efficiency experts, decision makers, leading administrators, representatives from private companies and public institutions, as well as universities will discuss best practices with Swiss opionion leaders and experts.

“Countries that embrace a long-term policy towards clean technology will be the winner in the future market,” said Swiss President Doris Leuthard during a briefing with U.S. officials. This sentiment was echoed by Matt Rogers, a Senior Advisor in the U.S. Department of Energy and Congressman Russ Carnahan (D-Missouri).
